ALL GREEN TIPS
Insect Repellent for Your Plants!
Place a handful of bird peppers and six cloves of garlic in the blender with a little hot water and blend thoroughly. Strain and pour into your spray can, add one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid and one tablespoon of cooking oil, swirl gently to mix in and top up to one gallon. This can be used as an insect repellent spray on your plants. Be careful not to let this get on your skin or in your eyes, as it will cause a burning sensation.
Keep Ants Out of the Kitchen
Many species of ants are allergic to cucumber. Saving your cucumber peels and placing them on the kitchen counter can keep ants away!!!
Keep Bachacs at Bay!
The (big leaf) French Thyme, thickly planted between your rose bushes, will deter the leafcutter (bachacs) ants.
